And your Lord wouldn't destroy any country unjustly while its people were reformers.
The addressees of this verse, the Meccan pagans, were not given a codified Book and thus were not destroyed. However, today Adhikr is codified as the Splendid Book. The Arabic Quran reading Fujjar have made a practice of rejecting Adhikr and are involved in more mischievous and heinous activities than any other group. As explained in verses 4:131-133, the Lord will entrust Adhikr to other communities belonging to the Messenger, such as Jains, Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, and Christians. Following the proclamation of Mahdi at Hejaz, believing men and women among mankind will be gathered in Hejaz. After the departure of the last Sabiq from the world, the ten crucial signs of Doomsday, as detailed in verse 6:158, will occur. See explanation 4:158-159; 6:131-133; 8:32-33; and 10:44.
